Favour Chinemerem Obioma holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is a dedicated and versatile team member at Afripubhealth Group, a globally recognized public health group committed to public health promotion and consultancy, environmental sustainability, and health and environmental research, training, and advocacy.
 
 
 
In her role at Afripubhealth, Favour contributes meaningfully as a Researcher and Health Educator, playing a key part in advancing the group's vision through impactful communication and field-based activities. Prior to joining Afripubhealth, Favour gained hands-on experience with various health-focused organizations, including the Helpshere Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering the underprivileged, advocating against drug abuse, promoting climate change awareness, moral education, and skills acquisition.
At Helpshere Foundation, she served as a Social Media Manager, Content Writer, Audio Transcriber, and Photographer, showcasing her multifaceted creative and technical abilities.
 
In March 2024, she volunteered for the 3rd International Conference on Water in Africa (IWAC) and the Workshop on Water Testing in Rural Encouragement for Disease Control, organized by Our Water and Health Network Africa (OWHN), where she actively participated in water testing workshops aimed at promoting safe water practices in underserved communities.
 
As a natural leader, Favour served as a Project Director for the Medical Community Development Service group Ado-Ekiti LGA during her compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) between 2022 - 2023. Under her leadership, she organized a Medical Outreach in the Irasa Community, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, which included health sensitization, environmental sanitation, medical testing, and distribution of relief materials, positively impacting the local community.
 
Her commitment to professional development is evident in her certifications. In October 2021, she was certified as a Conflict Manager after attending a three-day sensitization and awareness program on Conflict Management for Security Professionals, organized by the International Academy of Disaster and Security Professionals. She also earned a certification in Personal Hygiene and Disaster Management Awareness from the Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Science, Nigeria, in April 2020.
 
Favour’s passion for public health advocacy dates back to her university years, where in May 2021 she actively participated in a Community Medical Outreach at Community Primary School, Uwani Lejja Autonomous Community, Nsukka, Enugu State, organized by the Nigerian Association of Microbiology Students (NAMS) UNN Chapter and in November 2019, she also participated actively in the 100-day Ebola Virus Disease sensitization campaign tagged MICROBIOUTREACH, organized by the Nigerian Association of Microbiology Students (NAMS) under the administration of Epueke Mmadueke as the National President in collaboration with the Nigerian Society for Microbiology (NSM).
 
Throughout her time at the University of Nigeria, she was an active member of several student-led initiatives and served on the Medical Outreach Committee of NAMS, contributing to numerous health campaigns and advocacy programs on campus and in surrounding communities.
 
 
With a strong foundation in science, extensive field experience, and a passion for social impact, Favour exemplifies the qualities of a committed and visionary public health professional. Her blend of academic excellence, leadership, and diverse certifications paired with a proven record of community engagement positions her as a transformative voice in advancing health equity, sustainability, and development across Africa and beyond.
